The FBI and Ministry of Homeland Security consider the movement a form of domestic terrorism. “The agency has already outlined two separate domestic terror threats — eco-terrorists/animal rights extremists and lone offenders — and its latest addition is a discussion of the Sovereign Citizen Movement,” the Homeland Security Newswire reported in April. “Members of the Sovereign Citizen Movement are anti-government extremists who believe that even though they physically reside in this country, they are separate or ‘sovereign’ from the United States. As a result, they believe they do not have to answer to any government authority, including courts, taxing entities, motor vehicle departments, or law enforcement.”

Growing sovereign citizen movement rewrites US history, rejects government and warns of change

They call themselves sovereign citizens, U.S. residents who declare themselves above state and federal laws. Many don't register children's births, carry driver's licenses or recognize the court system.

Some peddle schemes that use fictional legal loopholes to eliminate debt and avoid foreclosures.

A few such believers are violent: Two police officers in Arkansas died in a shootout in May after stopping an Ohio sovereign citizen and his son.

As many as 300,000 people identify as sovereign citizens, the Southern Poverty Law Center found in a study to be published Thursday that was obtained by The Associated Press. Hate group monitors say their numbers have increased thanks to the recession, the foreclosure crisis, the growth of the Internet and the election of Barack Obama in 2008.

Adherents expect the current American system of government to end one way or another.

At the heart of their belief system: The government creates a secret identity for each citizen at birth, a "straw man," that controls an account at the U.S. Treasury used as collateral for foreign debt. File enough documents at the right offices and the money in those accounts can be used to pay off debt or make purchases worth thousands of dollars.

"These people really seem to feel that filing certain kinds of legal papers that are connected to their theories will somehow also magically have the power to alter relationships and grant things that otherwise would be unobtainable,"

Was it the 14th Amendment where the citizens status changed?

12. OTHER:

Except as specifically provided and set forth herein, no relief is granted regarding all of these filings.

12.2 The Court notes that Respondent's filings and conduct are consistent with those associated with the "sovereign citizen" domestic terrorist movement.

12.3 "The 'sovereign citizen' movement is a loosely organized collection of groups and individuals who have adopted a right-wing anarchist ideology originating in the theories of a group called the Posse Comitatus in the1970s. lts adherents believe that virtually all existing government in the United States is illegitimate and they seek to "restore" an idealized, minimalist government that never actually existed. To this end, sovereign citizens wage war against the qovernment and other forms of authoritv using "paper terrorism" harassment and intimidation tactics, and occasionally resorting to violence." The "paper terrorism" typically involves "frivolous lawsuits, frivolous liens, fictitious financial instruments, fictitious automobile related documents, and misuse of genuine documents such as IRS forms; various frauds and scams." UCC Redemption vs. JC Redemption

"UCC Redemption proponents offer 'cure all claims' and 'silver bullet solutions' to present dilemmas in the struggle for freedom and independence. One of the reasons the world is in such trouble today is because we are to willing to sign on to offers that sound to good to be true. If we will grab at straws in desperation why not grab at strawmen?

The scarecrow, a true strawman, thought he did not have a brain, only straw. The Wizard of Oz gave him a piece of paper and then he believed he had a brain but he was more deceived and deluded than he was before.

I believe there are some deadly flaws hidden among the occasional truths of the UCC redemption process movement. UCC claims span the gambit of canceling debt to get out of jail free cards. They even suggest you can buy cars and houses and pay for them with your birth certificate account.

"I used to believe in forever . . . but forever was too good to be true." The Lovable Pooh.

Much of its apparent success of UCC is due to simply time. It is all still in process or you are more trouble than you are worth. But things do not stay the same and you need to find a future in your plan and know where it is taking you. A person is far more likely to get into trouble with UCC methods than discharging debt with a note. There are many pieces to the puzzle and they have to all fit if you want a true picture.

None of these strategies have the love thy neighbor as much as thyself precept required by Moses and Jesus. Rather than coming together strategy they have a more "walk the plank" or "run for it" type strategy or plan. It is an its okay to "remain divided" solution. That is not a godly way or precept. We do not see that in Abraham's, Moses' or Jesus' strategy. It is a hard lesson to learn because coming together requires humility, patience, charity... love to say nothing of forgiveness and sacrifice. But without it we will be without God on our side.

Some UCC redemption proponents claim that it is supposed to protect you from the surety nature of birth certificates and the Social Security system by removing the third party managers and collectors.

What UCC redemption does is make you solely responsible for any and all debt. It removes you from the collective debt but does not remove the liability. You become your own redeemer, beneficiary, and fiduciary. You do not become the owner of your self but the owner of your debt and surety --- responsibility remains. Many will become angry at the idea that there may be a real debt. Let us assume for a moment that spiritual and physical debt are as linked as our body and soul.

If you keep your certificates and surety number [SSN] you will still fall under their power and nothing will stand between you and them. If you get rid of them you will stand naked in the "World".

Expatriation is the key, but to where? Under what Patronus or Father? Should it be any upon the earth? Abraham, Moses, Israel and the rest of the people, the Levites often found it necessary to expatriate and separate themselves from the commercial parens patria type systems that have appeared throughout history. This was also true of the early "Christians". Redemption is the answer, but how should that redemption be accomplished?"

“Redemption is deliverance from the power of an alien dominion and the enjoyment of the resulting freedom. It involves the idea of restoration to one who possesses a more fundamental right or interest. The best example of redemption in the Old Testament was the deliverance of the children of Israel from bondage, from the dominion of the alien power in Egypt.”

People cling to the idea:

...that they can swear oaths to Roman type governments, [Matthew 5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all;....:]

...that they can apply and pray to those government for benefits, [Luke 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread.]

...that they can vote to exercise authority over their fellow man Luke 22:25 The kings of the Gentiles ..exercise authority upon them .... But ye shall not be so: Matthew 20:25, Mark 10:42

...that they can and do covet what belongs to others through taxation, [Free education, free health care, free protection and social security at the expense of your neighbor. ]

...that they can send the sheriff out to rob widows and orphans with force, legally with inheritance and property taxes. Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

...that they can pay a stipends to their temple called the Capitol and leave the care of the father and mother to others [Mark 7:11 But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, [It is] Corban, ... Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.]

And that it is all okay because we are going to go to heaven when we are dead. [Matthew 22:32 ... God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.]

Such ideas have made us dead already.

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God. Luke 9:60

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:5

Many think Jesus is coming to rule over us in some far off kingdom thousands of years from when he said the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The kingdom was then and now. Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

People live in such darkness and deception they cannot see the reality of God's Kingdom as a real and present jurisdiction.

"He who knows nothing is nearer to the truth than he who's mind is filled with falsehoods and errors."  -- Thomas Jefferson
